How big is your impact?

In this post, Colin Beavan makes a big impact while making no impact at all. Confused? Beavan, his wife, his daughter and his dog pledged to live one year (starting November 2006) with no net impact(so when they make negative impact, they must do something positive to balance it out) on the environment. The plan succeeded, and now No Impact Man (as he is known on the internets) will be releasing a book September 1st and a movie September 11th.

To find out more about No Impact Man, read his blog here:

How do you make a positive impact?
What do you think about the quest to leave no impact?
Would you ever try to live no impact?

It's been awhile...Top 10!

It truly HAS been awhile since I've hit you guys with a lil' "Top 10"-action, so here you have it: top10songs.com's collection of the Top 10 popular songs of the Week! Enjoy!

1. I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas...This is an AMAZING dance song, so be prepared to hear it 24/7 on the radio, at the dentist, at the Homecoming dance, at Prom...everything...

2. Boom Boom Pow - Black Eyed Peas

3. You Belong With Me - Taylor Swift

4. Fire Burning - Sean Kingston...How could you not love his accent? Definitely ups the 'catchy-ness' of his songs...

5. New Divide - Linkin Park

6. Poker Face - Lady GaGa...Anyone read the Rolling Stone article about her childhood and career? It was actually really interesting: She got interviewed while wearing football-style shoulder pads! Love it...they were glittery, of course.

7. I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) - Pitbull

8. The Climb - Miley Cyrus...Yup, definitely a 16-year old wondergirl...(really good article on her in the August Elle mag...)

9. If Today Was Your Last Day - Nickelback

10. G-Get Up and Dance! - Faber Drive...Now THOSE are words I like to hear!
